December 27, 2018 - Mahmoud Twaissi explains the "Map of Madaba" located in the adjacent Orthodox Basilica of Saint George in Madaba, Jordan.

The information on the top has been lost to aging on the original map.

This map will help illustrate the changing perceptions of place in the museum exhibition Early Visions of Ohio, 1765-1865, which opens at the Decorative Arts Center of Ohio on October 24, 2015.

For this piece I used the journey that it takes my family to travel from our house in MD, to our shore house in NJ. I mapped out the routes that are possible and then used the lines and turns to create abstracted shapes out of the metals.
