Map of Disneyland from the 1988 Disneyland Guidebook from September, 1988.

Here's our third and last map dating from 1819, a crucial year in Manchester's history.

Compare it with Map 13 from the same year - what differences can you see?

Routing 30,000 randomly-chosen trips through the paths suggested by 10,000 randomly-chosen geotags. These are perhaps the most interesting routes between the endpoints of the trips, even if not necessarily the most likely.

It appears that this map is from 1977. I couldn't find a typical print year on it, just a code that said 1/77, which is likely the print date. This map does show all the Amoco gas stations in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia at the time. The locations were few and far between though.

This map also had some interesting ads in it too some chains were represented by a certain number on the map. Others, such as Albert Pick Hotels, Holiday Inn, and Coachmen Recreational Vehicles were represented by their logo.

Here are some more maps and map images that I figured I would share to go along with the ones I posted before. I figured I would do these as a mass upload then go back to the more typical retail pictures I post.

The full road maps were way too large to fit into the scanner and I didn't want to risk damaging the maps so I mostly copied covers, advertisements, and certain city maps. I do want to figure out a decent way to photograph the full maps without harming them. All of these ones are larger than the Ohio Turnpike Map I posted before.

Hillcrest is a one-way private drive from S Bluff Blvd that exits onto Crescent Dr - maps don't show the drive connecting.

When you have teamwork or friends like these, there is nothing that can't be figured out. As opposed to been by yourself. The visible part of the map covers the railroad trains, The Lirr and the Metro North. And I assume the part they are looking at are for the subway trains.

A whole mess of jigsaw puzzles. I dragged these out right before I was moving out of my former house. The framed puzzle is a 5000 piece FX Schmid puzzle of a World Map, 1708. The colorful stained glass image is a 6000 piece manufactured by Bits and Pieces called "Window Wonderland." To the left, a 4000 piece Bruegel painting 'Children's Games.' Other images in this set will give you a better view of these individually.

Here's a quick and dirty attempt to automatically determine arterial streets without any prior knowledge about the arterial status of a street. The idea is: a shortest path tree is taken for a bunch of random points, and the trunkyness of each branch was determined. The trunkynesses of the roads are summed, and this is the resulting map. It sort of works.
