The aim of this section is to get the villagers involved in the mapping process but also to learn about features of the forest that we cannot see for ourselves. This means truly abstract elements like the traditional names of the forests to streams and roads to crop cover and who owns the farms.

The razor is an example of poor mapping. It is not obvious where the buttons correspond to. Also the rotating wheel in the middle should be some sort of linear gauge instead.
