I had fun shooting this Japanes maple today at the county park. There were a couple photographers taking photos for people, using this tree as the background. This is exactly how red it looks today.

The Japanese maple by my house has lost most of its color and leaves, but Mother Nature gave it new little jewels to wear for the day...

This is the last of my Autumn colored leaves series. My focus was on Japanese Maple (Momiji) leaves with light play in the image. Basically, I was looking for back lit situations, clean backgrounds, and bokeh. I chose the title Maple Burst for this image because of the bokeh balls on the left side of the frame. Fall was in full bloom on my trip back to Worchester, Massachusetts this past week.

A single red maple leaf, 🍁 fallen on the worn bench, rests like a silent flame, whispering the grace of autumn and the gentle surrender of fall. From my archive of autumn 2024.
