Cape Manzamo is a range of limestone cliffs, former coral reefs shaped and eroded by waves. The limestone low on tidal forms a whole, creating a picturesque cliff. The shape of the cliff invokes an elephant nose figure. Residing in the western coast of the mainland Okinawa, Cape Manzamo is open to the East China Sea. Visitors can observe the extensive horizons over the sea from the top of the cliff, which has 20 m height above the sea. Cape Manzamo offers an outstanding view of nature landscapes. Visiting the place would be an unforgettable memory for any visitors in Okinawa. Let's go!
Japan has finally got a holiday season! I am heading to Okinawa, one of the most beautiful islands in Japan, within a few hours and will enjoy photography uttermost while I stay there for 9 days. Okinawa was an independent kingdom before it was integrated into Japan due to the modernisation processes in the mid 19th century. The island has its own rich history, culture and tradition. I am heading to Okinawa for my photography assignment. This is my second visit in Okinawa this year. I will let you know what is happening there!

Manzamo cliff in okinawa, Japan
Took this picture at 6pm, after the sun has gone down. Sunset wasnt too bad here, but the cliff itself is just a magnificant piece of art, the color of the ocean was just beautiful as well! So i thought of taking photo of the cliff together with the moving water by using a slower shutter speed, i even used pl filter n tripod to help the picture look better.
Well recognized for it's elephant's trunk resemblance, Cape Manza-mo has a 20 meter high limestone cliff facing the Eastern China Sea. During the era of the Ryukyu Kingdom, King Shokei visited in 1726 and praised the cape by saying that 10,000 people can sit down on the beautiful filed.

Cape Manzamo (万座毛, Manzamou lit. "a field for 10,000 people to sit" [1]) is a scenic rock formation on Okinawa Island, Japan. It is located near Onna Village (恩納村 Onna-son, Okinawan: Unna) in the Kunigami District of Okinawa Prefecture.
