Manual Focus Lives

Decided I wanted to play with manual focus tonight. It was tedious and time consuming but very much a learning experience since I really haven't done a lot of manual focusing since I shot film.

Camera Data

I was on tripod so I could fool with the manual focus and not have to worry about holding the camera steady. The droplets are on a glass sheet lit from beneath The camera data can be found below.

Another set of pictures I found in a folder, and I have no idea why they are there - I've long forgotten, and there's no common theme or time. Some of these images are 20 years old.

I have little idea of which camera or lens, but I would say they are all taken with a classic manual focus lens on a digital camera of some sort.

After I took this, I discovered that I can actually use live view and zoom right in on my subject to ensure it's all in focus. While it is a manual lens, I find it very responsive. I'm sure I'll get used to it.
