Il mare d'inverno
è solo un film in bianco e nero visto alla TV.
E verso l'interno,
qualche nuvola dal cielo che si butta giù.
Sabbia bagnata,
una lettera che il vento sta portando via,
punti invisibili rincorsi dai cani,
stanche parabole di vecchi gabbiani.
E io che rimango qui solo a cercare un caffè.
Il mare d'inverno
è un concetto che il pensiero non considera.
E' poco moderno,
è qualcosa che nessuno mai desidera.
Alberghi chiusi,
manifesti già sbiaditi di pubblicità,
Macchine tracciano solchi su strade
dove la pioggia d'estate non cade.
E io che non riesco nemmeno a parlare con me.
Mare mare, qui non viene mai nessuno a trascinarmi via.
Mare mare, qui non viene mai nessuno a farci compagnia.
Mare mare, non ti posso guardare così perché
questo vento agita anche me,

Passerà il freddo
e la spiaggia lentamente si colorerà.
La radio e i giornali
e una musica banale si diffonderà. Nuove avventure,
discoteche illuminate piene di bugie.
Ma verso sera, uno strano concerto
e un ombrellone che rimane aperto.
Mi tuffo perplesso in momenti vissuti di già.

Or cultural meeting point. Sarajevo is a beautful town in which the architecture style changes drastically from one corner to the next. In this photo there is a part of the Old Orthodox Church, and a builiding on a main boulevard dating from the times of the Austro-Hungarian occupation.

This is right at the limits of my equipment so the DoF suffered a bit. A stop more of IBIS help or a better sensor would have worked.

Blue hour in downtown Los Angeles. Taken from the 6th Street overpass bridge over Harbor Freeway looking South. I do have fear of heights and this banister was very low for comfort. I got used to it after a while but still unsettling.
There seems to be a bug in the EXIF lens information when switching from the Sigma 30mm to the Samyang 12mm manual focus lens. This was taken with the Samyang wide-angle.

The shadows of the waterbugs on the stream bed were what caught my eye first. Then it was the whole shadow and light composition, golden detail versus expressionist strokes of green reflection. Taken at Chatfield Hollow State Park in Connecticut. This won't look like much on a small screen ie., a phone or small tablet. The larger the better. Press 'L' for a better look at the detail.
