Seri Wawasan Bridge, Putrajaya by Zack

I know this is not a popular angle of Seri Wawasan Bridge to shoot at. It is so happened that I passed through Putrajaya last Saturday night. I illegally parked the car at the head of the bridge, set up my gears in hurry, do a quick hand job, and voila.... it was all over in just a couple of minutes.

The place where I set my tripod at is actually still a part of the bridge, that’s why the gigantic pillar that holds the cables escapes the frame. As such, it creates optical illusions with parallel lines of cables for the image. The setting used was – Shutter speed: 10 seconds with aperture f/22 and ISO 200.

For those of you who are familiar with this side of the hemisphere, you should know how Putrajaya is like at night. Putrajaya is a newly-developed planned city located just south of Kuala Lumpur and certainly is very quiet at night. It is the new federal administrative centre of Malaysia. Almost all Government offices have relocated there to gain relief from the overcrowding and congestion of Kuala Lumpur, which is Malaysia's largest city. However, Kuala Lumpur still serves as Malaysia's national and legislative capital for now.

The bridge in the picture above is one of the main bridges in Putrajaya, known as the Seri Wawasan Bridge. This futuristic cable-stayed bridge which has a sail ship appearance, connects Precinct 2 on the Core Island to the residential area of Precinct 8.

The Hulimavu Shiva Cave Temple is located in Hulimavu, Bannerghatta Road, Bengaluru and administered by the Sri Sri Bala Gangadaraswami Mutt. It is stated that a saint Sri Ramanand Swamiji did tapas in the cave for many years and his samadhi is also found inside.

There are three main deities consecrated inside. A Shiva Lingam occupies the center, on one side there is a Devi idol and on the other side, an idol of Ganesha has been consecrated. On the other side of the cave, a very old dhyana mantap is also found. The cave has been declared as a 2000 year old single rock cave.

The Vittala Temple or Vitthala Temple in Hampi is an ancient monument that is well-known for its exceptional architecture and unmatched craftsmanship. It is considered to be one of the largest and the most famous structure in Hampi.

The Ranga Mantapa is one of the main attractions of the Vittala Temple. The large mantapa is renowned for its 56 musical pillars. These musical pillars are also known as SAREGAMA pillars, indicating the musical notes emitted by them. The musical notes and emanated when the pillars are tapped gently.
