Not good enough? Try scaling back even more.

Some of you might find it silly to photograph shoes but the curves, especially of heels, are so beautiful. One of my friends, who owns some gorgeous shoes, will be modeling for me as soon as we can coordinate our schedules. You can bet I'll be doing a lot of leg/feet/shoe shots.

Shot on my kitchen countertop with reflected backlighting from the window. I used a Nikon SB 800 Speedlight for a little fill flash to show detail on the vamp. I did this in B/W, too (previous photo).

This particular brand of shoes has the most beautifully sculpted heels in the business. They are so distinctive I can recognize them a mile away.

For my sister, who celebrates her birthday today. She's actually much fonder of shoes than I am.

I haven't done one of these in a while.

What else can I do in bed but watch a little TV, read, and take pictures of shoes? Thanks again for all the well wishes, everyone.

Bye-bye again! We're off to a little getaway with the kids to Disneyland. But not in these heels!

I'll catch up with your streams throughout the day before we leave. Be back soon. XXX

Hope you can handle another shoe shot.

I used a little fill flash here so that the vamps are more visible.

I was looking for something in my files and found the photo for this. It was just a lay-out for a collage I was going to do, but I didn't know how to glue the sheet of music on without ruining it, so I took this photo so I could remember the composition. It was a snapsnot only, and blurred, but when I saw it, I liked it again and decided to "cut" it out and "paste" it. It sort of reminds me of the "Nanny Diaries" which I just watched. That was a good movie, and I think Scarlett Johannson is such an awesome actress. So, anyway, here's another piece of me. . .lol.

This is one of those compositions I liked in its original form but in a different way. This one is definitely sassier and more "Barbie". I like the monochrome version better b/c the background wrinkles are not distracting as they are here.

This photo reminds me of a shoe shot I did last March '08 (see below).

Yes, my stream could not get any more frivolous but a few of you shoe-aholics asked to see more (Ms. Firefly being one)...so I oblige. :-)

I'll go back to the regular programming...and will catch up on your streams soon.

A study in shoe and heel curvature.

Handmade doll shoes according to the pair in movie 'Marie Antoinette', 2006, designed by Manolo Blahnik. The shoes caught my eyes at the first time I saw the screenshot of the movie. So I decided to make one to test how far I can go with the details. Not for sale. #handmade #shoes #doll #bjd #porcelaindoll #manoloblahnik

One of my favorite subjects--shoes. I wanted a somewhat unconventional composition this time. Taken through a mirror that I'm thinking of hanging in our master bedroom. ;-) Hope it works (the composition, not the mirror!).

Taken while playing around with stuff I plan to pack for an upcoming short trip. I've even bought some stretchy "eating pants" for a special dinner. =)

Because I don't like to do it in person.

BTW, many of you wished me well regarding our Tacky Turkey Tea Party. We had a BLAST and then some, thanks so much. Photos coming up!

Hanging up my shoes to take a break from flickr and life in general.

Unless plans change! In the meantime, wishing you all a wonderful weekend.

Meet Chloe showing off her striking necklace. She very obligingly offered to pose for this shot, but we didn't have much time otherwise for conversation before her train pulled up.

I bought these cute socks on honeymoon in Tokyo, seemed to think I could reinvent myself as a funky Essex born Harajuku girl! Can you imagine? Eek, funny thought.

Thankfully for you the f1.4 saved you from my hairy and untoned legs. Promise to go to the gym later with all of the singletons.

Take me to the kittens

Happy St Valentine's Day for all you lovers and snogs to the rest of you who can survive without the commercialism of SVD and the emotional and financial drain of a partner! cynical, moi?

made to top a wedding cake next week.. full size shoe =)

It's not really water. It's just my very clean dining table against a large sliding door window (one of my favorite places to take photographs). I need to get out more.
