It's not like I don't have a hundred and one other things to do but once I've got an idea into my head it's hard to let it go so here's the fake tilt/shift version I said earlier would have to wait until I had a bit more time....

If you fancy having a go yourself all you do is make a duplicate layer, blur it and then selectively erase away using brushes of increasing size and opacity. To exaggerate the effect I'd recommend then adding a bit more blur to the far background to increase the apparent depth.

Swiss astronaut Claude Nicollier is pictured at the aft flight deck station, which he occupied in December 1993 on NASA's STS-61 mission aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavour. Among Nicollier's responsibilities was controlling the shuttle's Remote Manipulator System robotic arm during operations with the Hubble Space Telescope.

This is our "Veggie Room". My wife and I decided to redo our TV room into something out of the ordinary,,,something original! Kaleidoscope photos would be the theme. I had photos of peppers enlarged to wall sizes plus a print to fit the floor and laminated for durability. The look there was a "knock your socks off effect". Now, guests walk in and stand there absolutely speechless. Unfortunately my wife complains of headaches whenever she sits there. Our cat seems to get a bit disoriented there also.
