Photo manipulation project for class. Had to do something surreal. Tried making it look like lilies were growing out of tattoo of lilies that Mez did. Also did a bit of color correction on original photo.

Fun assignment, but after taking both Photoshop and Illustrator classes, I'm going to say my strengths are still in the latter.

I was inspired by FACE/Project, a collaborative venture by Michelangelo di Battista and Tina Berning. Their images were printed onto unexpected canvases and manipulated. I wanted to stretch the boundaries by experimenting with alternative materials. This piece was created using hessian and recycled books and maps.
