I've posted a number of versions of this scene over the years. This one has more refined sunshine, rocks, and mountains. But it still is not in its final form. It's based on a road trip I took a long time ago in northern Arizona at sunrise. This is what I wanted to see.

as a kid I always thought the prism within the flies wings and eyes was interesting but hated it if they touched my skin.... so I tried to create that in these wings...

me: I painted the wing green and blue then smeared it together then redrew the lines....
