Despite the arrival weather, we were quite lucky with the weather in the city. Many efforts got rewarded, if I am allowed to judge...this one is looking at Manhattan skyline from Brooklyn park. Have a good remaining week! Thanks, Udo.

The blue hour over lower Manhattan was particularly dramatic earlier this evening. The scene with the clouds and the spot of light right behind the Freedom Tower was just captivating! This was the view from the Paulus Hook Ferry terminal by the Jersey City waterfront. Photo taken with my Nikon D7500 DSLR camera, handheld.
Manhattan across the river.

From dusk on Sept. 11 until dawn on Sept.12, everybody within view of the Manhattan skyline will be reminded of what was lost 14 years ago.
The two strong beams of light resembling the Twin Towers' ascent toward the heavens will again serve as a beacon of contemplation and reflection. The Tribute in Light has become a powerful international symbol of 9/11 for more than a decade.

Seen from the living room of my son and belle-fille's Brooklyn home on the tenth floor up.....a different view with this 50mm lens than what the eye really sees, or is it the mind?? I focused on the Empire State Building and in reality, the skyline is what is dominant, not the areas of Brooklyn you see here.....
Manhattan as seen from Liberty State Park, NJ, about 10 minutes before sunset. Many families and couples were enjoying the warm summer evening. The large One World Trade Center building dominates the skyline. The Empire State Building can be seen to the far left, at a distance in Midtown.

Here is a colorful view of a section of the Liberty State Marina, located adjacent to Liberty State Park in Jersey City, New Jersey. The blue, pink and lavender tones in the sky during sunset provide a beautiful palette of colors behind the glowing Manhattan skyline during golden hour.

Taken on the north side of the Jacqueline Kennedy reservoir in central park. Those are the new high-rises on billionaire row with a couple on West 59th Street. Our former First Lady would have done her best to fight their height. We don't seem to have such an influencer today and it's totally tragic.
City pictures are not my strength and after a visit (where I was mainly a tourist and not a photographer) there were not many good pictures to choose from. But this turned out OK I think.
Thanks to everyone who takes the time to view, comment, and fave my photo.
As viewed from the slope above Fern Ave. Anyone who visited the Dutcher plot has had a great view for over 100 years although the trees almost block the view today!
Photo taken from an Open House New York cruise - we sailed from the West Side Circle Line piers to view and learn about the western Brooklyn Waterfront.
An iconic shot of the New York City skyline taken front the top of the Rockefeller Centre.
The view from the Top Of The Rock is so amazing and it's one of my favourite places to visit in New York.
This is one of my favourite shots with the city skyline, cloudy skies and the sunrays shining through, hope you like it?
Tribute in Light shines once again as a memorial to the victims of the terror attacks on September 11, 2001.
Views captured from the Jersey City waterfront (New Jersey). This photo was taken with a Pixel 3 smartphone using the Night Sight setting.
Spectacular rainbow over lower Manhattan during a stormy Spring afternoon, seen from Liberty State Park, NJ. In this image, the rainbow raises from the Central Railroad of New Jersey Terminal in the bottom left corner.
The pixel 6 pro was able to effectively capture the magnitude and intensity of the rainbow, what a treat to the eyes!! 🌈🌈
