Opening today, Hudson Yards is a new neighborhood in Manhattan is seen as it was under construction.
Almost done with NYC, only a few more to go.
View of Manhattan's Financial District from the Staten Island Ferry, possibly the best and cheapest (like in free) way to enjoy a view from this direction.

Twas a humid summer day in June and i set out to traverse the Palisades Interstate park and hudson riverbank on crutches with a broken foot. I was determined to make a beautiful image despite handicaps and rough terrain, So i braved the weather, crutched to the shoreline and with tripod and camera, i sat under the George Washington Bridge chasing the light... Here is an image from that day.

Tradition has it that when Cartier bought this mansion in 1917, he paid for it with a million dollar pearl necklace that the wife of the former owner coveted. A painting of the lady after she got the pearls now greats customers entering the store.

There was a lightning storm rolling in over the hudson river as i shot this along with the smoke clouds following the finale of the Macy's 4th of July Fireworks kinda created an erie mood for the scene and ironically the name of the Hoboken Terminal is "Erie Lackawanna" station.
