Raw fruits of Langra Variety of Indian mangoes

The mango tree is so full of flowers, never seen so many. Might get a lot of mangoes next February. I think I will attempt to thin out some of the branches in Autumn as it is so big and casts a big shadow.

This was a grab shot through the front window of the tour bus over the driver's shoulder. It was a bit of a spray and pray -- two exposures in quick succession, and I'm quite satisfied with the results on this one.

We learned from two different guides (a girl and a guy) that "mango" in addition to being the best of fruits, is a kind of expression of admiration, like "You are so beautiful (or handsome)!" The polite response is a "Thank you!" for the compliment, and "mango" appropriately describes a girl or a guy depending on gender and circumstances.

I thought this gal was mango indeed!

Mango loves to be the center of attention and has been such a great blessing to us.

This is a shot I took last year of our beloved cat Mango but never got round to uploading. Sadly we had to have him put down today (3rd Feb 2016), so it seems right to put it up onto Flickr now as a tribute :(
