No real mangoes here, but the sunset color reminded me of my favorite fruit from Southeast Asia.

Those cockatoos are eating pre-matured mangos dropped from the tree by other cockatoos (as below )

I told them not to waste but they didn't care.

Windows at this station are done by artist Daniel Hauben. These windows were selected by Americans for the Arts as among the top 40 of public works in 2007. They are so vibrant. When the sun hits them, they just electrify the platforms.

Tiny flowers and also fruit. The mangoes are the tiny green things. The fruit will be ready at the end of February March.

Mango posing in Vietnam

The first mango I'm trying to grow in a very long time. I started right before the theme for the week was announced, so it seemed fitting to use the seedlings in this week's shot.

The Tango Mango tastes as good as it looks at The Columbia Restaurant in Tampa, Florida.

Daily ritual: coffee, backyard, water plants, chase butterflies, snap photos... repeat. The mango tree, a backdrop, its tiny flowers mere blurs. Today, sunlight kissed them, revealing a starlit crown. I stopped, breath caught. Shame bloomed, hot and sudden. Two years of blinkered vision. How could such beauty hide in plain sight? From now on, my mornings begin with these miniature suns, each petal a brushstroke of nature's art. The once-familiar tree, a portal to a hidden world. No more blurs, only stars to admire, right here, in my own backyard.

Mangoes for the sweet. Tocantins, MG.

I love those swirling staircases and when I saw a picture of this one in Utrecht I knew I wanted to see it for myself. Last Sunday I passed by and made my version of this object.

Enjoy

They don’t all ripen at the same time. Had frost last winter so there are a lot less fruit.

Humid gleaming precious well

Love to drink that water

Parallel worlds when the sun goes down

The atmosphere grows hotter

I slip through the glistening gate

Tide began to pound

Tears of light poured over me

And ricocheted all around
