Pooja Hegde #Pooja #Hegde

Pooja Hegde is one of the finest Indian actress who grabbed national recognition with her performance. The actress was born on October 13th 1990 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Her native place has been Manglore, Karnataka. She is completely fluent in English, Hindi, Tulu and Kannada. She has been a topper in studies right from her childhood and during her college days, Pooja Hegde was a helping hand in her mother’s networking business which gave her lot of confidence. She has been active in inter college competitions in dance and fashion shows after which she decided to become an actress.

The actress made her debut as an actress in 2012 with the movie Mugamoodiwhich was a super hero film starring Jeeva and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles. The movie bombed badly at the box-office and the actress has been left depressed as she pinned huge hopes on the film. She had to wait for months to be approached to play the female lead in South Indian movies and the same is the case when she wanted to be featured in Bollywood films. Pooja Hegde competed in the Miss India 2009 competition, but was eliminated in an early round despite winning the Miss India Talented 2009 honour.

Pooja Hegde ended up as the second runner up in 2010 in Miss Universe India competition which gave her some relief. She has also been awarded with the Miss South India Glamorous Hair for the year 2010. She played Shakti in Mugamoodi, a fun loving girl who inspires Jeeva in the movie. The movie happened to be a commercial failure though her performance has been widely discussed all over. Some of the critics even criticized her performance in the movie. Exactly after two years, the actress played the female lead in her first Telugu movie Oka Laila Kosam. Naga Chaitanya and Pooja Hegde played the lead roles in the movie which has been directed by Vijay Kumar Konda and is a romantic entertainer. The movie too ended up as an average grosser and the actress could not get much benefit out of it.

Then she played the lead role in Varuntej’s debut film Mukunda which was a smooth romantic and action entertainer. Sreekanth Addala directed the film which ended up as a decent grosser at the box-office. Varuntej and Pooja Hegde’s chemistry in the movie has been widely discussed all over. It was during this time, Pooja Hegde has been finalized to play the main actress beside Hrithik Roshan in his upcoming action entertainer Mohenjo Daro. Ashutosh Gowariker is directing the movie which is in final stages of shoot. This action entertainer is said to be a periodic drama which is being made on a budget of Rs 250 crores. With huge dose of action episodes, Pooja Hegde is said to have a decent role to perform in the movie. Ashutosh Gowariker Productions is producing the movie which will hit the screens all over the world on August 12th. goo.gl/689z3q

Evening Shots at Taj Fort Aguada, Goa India

I shot this Picture in a Yakshagana/Aataa (a Dance/Drama Performance that Depicts Story's from Hindu Epics and Puranas) performance an Art form from my Native Land Manglore.

For last few days i was Researching for this Picture, it was an Intense one

the Topics i covered was Shiva, Rudra, Tandav, Third Eye, Enlightenment, Faith, Spirituality and many more, So in the End i had a Large amount of Data on this Subject, to be Precise the final Edited Data on this Subject was of 87 pages. During this process i learned a lot on Spirituality and the more i learned the more it got Complicated. So explaining all this Rationally in few words was not Possible.

But i found the way in a book named "Devi's Emerald". See i am not a Spiritual Person, what all spirituality i have learned is through this book, and just few lines in this book explained to me, the confusion i created in 87 page.

So here's are those lines from this book: "Go into the Basics; be Simple; go in a small way and try to understand Him in a Simple Manner. Don't try to go too deep into Spiritualism. Forget Mantras and Tantras. We don't have to get involved in all this; and who has the timeto get into all this Stuff. Say simple Prayers and that is Enough."

So does the above article explains anything about the Picture you might say No, but for me it was a journey to a lesson that i learned through this Picture.

Few Days back i got a chance to visit a "Yakshagana" Performance a Dance/Drama Performance that Depicts Story's from Hindu Epics and Puranas, it's a Art form from my Native Land "Manglore",Karnataka.

It is believed to have evolved from Pre-Classical Music and Theatre; it could be compared to North Indian tradition of "Ramlila" or the Western Tradition of "Opera". While Performing Actors wear Costumes and enact various Roles of Gods and Goddesses, Traditionally, Yakshagana would go on all night, It is sometimes simply called as Aataa in both Kannada and Tulu, meaning "Play". Yaksha-gana literally means the song (gana) of a Yaksha.

Yakshagana consists of a Himmela (background musicians) and a Mummela (dance and dialog group) which together perform a Yakshaga Prasanga. Himmela consisting of Bhagawata who is also the facilitator (singer), Maddale, Harmonium for drone (Pungi was used earlier) and Chande (loud drums). The music is based on pre-Karnataka Sangeetha Ragas characterised by melodic patterns called Mattu and Yakshagana Tala. Yakshagana Talas are believed to be based on the groves which later have evolved into Karnataka Sangeetha Talas. Both Yakshagana Raga and Yakshagana Tala have some folk influence. A Yakshagana performance begins at the twilight hours with the beating of several fixed compositions on drums called Abbara or Peetike, for up to an hour before the 'actors' get on the stage. The actors wear resplendent costumes, head-dresses, and face paints which they paint themselves.

A performance usually depicts a story from the Hindu epics and puranas. It consists of a narrator (Baghawatha) who either narrates the story by singing or sings precomposed dialogs of a character, backed by musicians playing on traditional musical instruments as the actors dance to the music, with actions that portray the story as it is being narrated. All the components of Yakshagana, music, dance and dialog are improvised. Depending on the ability and scholarship of the actors, variation in dance and amount of dialog may change. It is not uncommon for actors to get into philosophical debates or arguments without going out of the framework of the character being enacted.

It is also believed that Classical Dance forms like Barathanatya originated from Yakshagana.

But the impact of globalization on art is INEVITABLE and has already taken a toll on this Art Form. Now the Question is whether this Folk Art Survives…

Mysore painting is an important form of classical South Indian painting that originated in the town of Mysore in Karnataka. These paintings are known for their elegance, muted colors, and attention to detail. The themes for most of these paintings are Hindu gods and goddesses and scenes from Hindu mythology. In modern times, these paintings have become a much sought after souvenir during festive occasions in South India.

The process of making a Mysore painting involves many stages. The first stage is the making of the preliminary sketch of the image on the base. The base consists of cartridge paper pasted on a wooden base. A paste made of zinc oxide and Arabic gum is made called "gesso paste". With the help of a thin brush all the jewelery and parts of throne or the arch which have some relief are painted to give a slightly raised effect of carving. This is allowed to dry. Thin gold foil is then pasted onto the surface. The rest of the piece is then painted using watercolors. Only muted colors are used.

I was in Agra busy taking shots, when a little this kid saw me and asked me to take one of his.

His unfortunately could not afford a camera and his looks said that they were living a hard earned life.

I happily took his pic, didn't know that his smile would win my heart. I do not know his name... I simply know that he stays in Manglore- India and he has 2 sisters n a lil bro.

I pray that whereever he is...he is goo. May Allah bless him :)
