Der Mandrill ist eine Primatenart aus der Familie der Meerkatzenverwandten. Er lebt in tropischen Regenwäldern Zentralafrikas und ist für seine rot-blau gefärbten Partien im Gesicht und am Gesäß bekannt, die ihn zum farbenprächtigsten aller Säugetiere machen.

 

The mandrill is a primate of the Old World monkey family. Mandrills are found in southern Cameroon, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, and Congo. Mandrills mostly live in tropical rainforest and in very large groups. Mandrills have an omnivorous diet consisting mostly of fruits and insects.

Male mandrill (Mandrillus sphinx),"Ajani" a large Old World monkey native to west central Africa. It is one of the most colorful mammals in the world, with red and blue skin on its face and posterior. The species is sexually dimorphic, as males have a larger body, longer canine teeth and brighter coloring. It is the largest monkey in the world.

Not the best experience, social distancing was not great and was a lot busier than expected. Didn't stay long and this was the best of the pics.
