The light of dusk transformed this himal ("mountain") into a light volcano. Photographed near the Larke Pass in Nepal's Manaslu reserve.
When trekking at that time, it seemed normal to me that the kids were partly dressed in practical chuba but is that a bell around the waist?
From the moraine above Bimtang is this surprisingly good view of the summit plateau of Manaslu and the true summit as well, with its several rock bumps.
Bob walks through a three-layered kani at the beginning of a village. Normally on the inside there are murals pained on the ceiling and sometimes paryer wheels too. Contemplate and understand they are there to cleanse you of evil before entering the village.
Looking back over the rubble-covered and snow-covered glacier, and back to the wide, sharp Samdo Peak 6339m.
