El mundo WordPress sigue creciendo por el buen camino, y lo hace ahora con la adquisición de una extensión y servicio conocida por los que trabajan en seguridad informática.

Se trata de BruteProtect, aplicación que protege los sitios web de posibles invasiones al mismo tiempo que ahorra los recursos del servidor, haciendo que se ejecute la web más rápida y segura, ya que también mantiene los sitios actualizados con las últimas versiones tanto de temas como de plugins (de WordPress también, aunque eso es algo que las últimas versiones de la plataforma ya hacen automáticamente).

Durante los próximos meses Bruteprotect dejará de estar disponible de forma independiente y se integrará con jetpack, tal y como anuncian en su blog, ofreciendo el servicio de forma gratuita (hoy su versión premium cuesta cinco dólares al mes) a todos los usuarios de Jetpack (extensión para WordPress.com que aumenta las funcionalidades de los blogs alojados en su plataforma, de propiedad de Automattic).
