Malus 'Red Sentinel'

Growing at Geilston gardens, west central Scotland. Not many insects around on this grey day, but I liked the look of these little apples. Hope you do too.

First blossom on a new crab apple tree I planted in the garden 5 or 6 weeks ago in the middle of March. AKA toringo crab apple 'Aros'. It has dark burgundy leaves when they first appear in spring and with luck there will be dark red fruits in the autumn.
