IT heavy hitters Agnes and Poppy face-off! Who’s the winner here do you think? Agnes seems more dominant but I feel like Poppy is playing a subtle game of contrasting her femininity with Agnes’s power! 😂 I actually did these pics because a friend asked me about the hair colour on Spice compared to Malibu Agnes so I decided to do a quick shoot with the pair together. The hair colour on my two looks quite similar I think? It makes me wonder if the replacement heads (which mine is) had a different hair colour to the originals?

I like the looks of this Malibu Maxx over the regular Malibu sedan of that Generation 6. The 5-door Maxx version was available in model years 2004 through 2007. The sedan continued for one more model year, 2008.
It was based on the Opel Vectra C.

Heavily processed shot that I took a bit far up the coast in Malibu, could have been outside of Malibu, not really sure where I was.
A beautiful, clear day in Malibu produced this gorgeous twilight. A passing car swathed the lifeguard tower as I was taking a long exposure and lit it up wonderfully.
I’ve had this Malibu Skipper for over 5 years now and I’ve held onto her due to the way her pupils were rubbed off and mostly cuz i never did find another Malibu Skipper in my life lol.
I decided to FINALLY reroot her using the tension method which I utterly dislike for being too messy and imperfect, but this entire head took two hours instead of the usual 6-8 hours which is a HUGE difference. Plus, since she’s vintage her original rooting was messy and imperfect so yeah.
Her hair was a tangled messed up wad of saran which I detangled and I honestly didnt even think it would be enough to cover her head. But there’s still a quarter leftover so lol. The bag was labelled “Pink Fantasy” but who knows what company its from.
I’m debating on whether to touch up her eyes or just fix whatever is left of her paint and leave her looking all spooky,

I like these tops, I think they're my favourites I have out of all the male tops, just wished there were more than just simple tank tops and t-shirts with prints!
I have been wanting to find some new place to grab a shot of the Malibu Pier and adjacent Surfrider Beach. Every public road and viewing area just didn't do it for me...there just wasn't great view of the pier.
So on Halloween night, I found this little private community, walked through a bunch of bushes and brush around the guard-shack and started roaming around this large hill going up and down people's driveways. I ended up finally getting the shot!!

Malibu Christie is one of the two AA dolls in my collection (the other being a Barbie Basics doll). She is currently living with Eddi (aka modBarbielover).
I have been wanting to add more AA dolls to my collection, but they are always so expensive. A few that I want are: Black Francie; Julia; Talking Christie; Qucik Curl Cara; Superstar Christie; Black Barbie; Golden Dream Christie; Beauty Secrets Christie; and Nigerian Barbie.
I have also wanted a few modern AA dolls, but they are rarely available at my local stores. I am never able to find the AA versions of the Holiday dolls especially!
What I would really love is if Mattel made an Australian Barbie that was Indigenous rather than a pasty blonde bimbo in stereotypical outback clothing with a Koala hanging off her arm!

Another from that balmy calm winter day. I really wanted to keep shooting this till the sun went in the water (7 minutes later) but there were about 5 other folks who wanted my spot so I gave in. No special effects here - just F20 making that star out of the sun I think. BTW, got caught by a "sneaker wave" a couple of minutes before. Should have learned this by now. I'm thinking boots or bare feet on my next beach outing duh.
