I had bees all over them today pollinating and making me new oranges
Helen has a date with Sargent Carter at the sock-hop and can't understand why her friend is such a "chicken" about calling his friend for a date.
Little Chicken is, well, not a chicken.
... a family business making handmade bricks and roof tiles, seen beside the road to Tepatitilan - one man is mixing the local red soil with other clay, while an other man will shape the mix into bricks with the help of a wooden box, (not seen here), and an other man (in background) is laying them out to dry in the sun before they are stacked into huge square, hallow stacks, the actual "ovens", which will be fired from within!

Lin Han is actually a “noodle master”, but he also makes dumplings. He’s worked here for 15 years making noodles. I’ve had the noodle soup and it’s so yummy.

While on assignment for WWF-Romania, we visited some villages in the north of Romania, in Maramures. This man was making palinca (fruit brandy). While he was explaining the process, he decided all that talk deserved a cigarette. www.doruoprisan.com via 500px ift.tt/1ra7gGf
We are getting a dumping of snow today. This was taken when the snow first started. If I took Maggie out there now she'd be up to her belly in snow, with more snow still to come.

For me there's always been a tinge of sadness to fairs and carnivals. Not sure exactly why. Perhaps it's that part of my brain that seems hard-wired to seek out the forlorn aspects of life no matter where I go. What struck me as I looked back at a series of photos I shot last night at a local summer festival is how joyless they appear. I''m sure that wasn't the case in real life, so it must just be the way I see things. Anyway, here's a case in point, the quintessential American concession stand. All bright and sparkly, like an oasis of comfort. But what really made this pop for me was the ensuing darkness behind it.
Captured this image just as the roseate spoonbill was making the turn to return to the rookery. The colors of the Spoonbills were incredibly vibrant and one might question whether the saturation was too much but believe me they were so beautiful and really I had never seen theirs colors so rich. It was breathtaking !!
