Tyler is one of the most inspiring, innovative and outside-of-box thinkers you’ll ever meet. With an intuitive and innovative approach to the creative process, he uses his artistic ability and skills to work within a variety of industries requiring his expertise in SFX makeup and education.
Tyler is an educator. He teaches students of all ages in his studio located in Winsted, CT. He travels all around the country training the next generation of makeup artist.
Tyler believes that in within each of us there is an ability to think beyond the obvious if we expand our minds.

He is the owner of Creative Genius LLC, and is an inventor of consumer gadgets and accessories. Among many other products, Tyler conceptualized and developed the Wonderband Systems™, an intricate intelligent concept for gripping items, with applications in multiple industries.
Tyler’s incredible and unique talents and achievements have been featured over the years in newspapers, magazines, and on radio and television. He was recently featured in Connecticut Magazine as one of the 40 under 40 most influential people of 2021!

Ok here are the shots from a very recent very out of the blue last minute shoot with designer and all round sweet heart Erica Stagg. Prior to the shoot I think we’d talked once I’d never seen the collection and had no idea what I was shooting and went out on a whim hoping the location was well, more than suitable and turns out it was more than adequate, so here are the shots from Erica Stagg’s 2009/2010 summer capsule range…
I know I say this all the time for a lot of the shoots I work on but Erica’s range is nothing far from amazing, the concept behind each piece is clear in plain sight and well executed, with each piece really speaking for itself, and Anna our model despite coming straight from a viewing and been dead tired pulled of every shot and let both herself and the garments equally as powerful frame after frame, and let’s just say wasn’t afraid to get her hands dirty…
Big thanks to Erica for letting my concept to come through in the shots and having it been a little bit more collaborative than usual and letting me try some new techniques, regardless of how the shots looked these were shot in full daylight in the middle of the day and mid afternoon using a kind of light masking technique I’m trying much like they use in the twilight movies only a little different and my own creation…
Big thanks to all the girls for putting up with me as usual I know it’s a hard task and they did without complaint, so here are the shots enjoy…

I loved this set with Becka too much not to upload more.
Back in August, Cheriene, Becka and I decided to put together a small collaboration to feed our creative sides. All I had planned was to go out in nature and find somewhere beautiful to shoot...the rest of the concept fell together afterward.
I attempted to make my very first flower crown the night before with mediocre success following instructions from Pinterest. It was flimsy and didn't hold up for long during our shoot, but happened to be incredibly photogenic! The roses and delicate baby's breath inspired me to style something soft and pretty...boudoir was the answer.
We met at Becka's place to sort through her collection of under garments and get her done up. Surprisingly, this was my first collaboration with Becka wearing professional makeup. She's angelic either way, but it was fun to take it up a notch. Cheriene picked out the perfect red lip stain for her.
We made our way out to one of my top secret lakeside locations just in time to catch the end of the golden hour. We finished up with our dry land shots before throwing Becka in the swampy lake. But as the sun set, the local wildlife took notice of our presence. Tarantulas crawled out of their hiding places and mosquitos the size of my fingernail ambushed us.
I think we lasted about ten minutes, if that, near the water before being eaten alive. We screamed and ran back to the car, frantically swatting our arms and legs. It was an unlikely bonding experience for all of us. Lesson learned: always bring bug spray.
