In honor of Fear Fest this month and the premiere of the Walking Dead. Here is a teaser of my Zombie contribution to society. Thanks to (flickr: QdubU) Quincy for the great special effects makeup and Michelle for letting us do whatever it took to make her into a zombie. Stay tune for more along the week.

Mei was incredible. Really mature and together, really organized and dedicated, she basically did all of our makeup stuff for us. I mean, that is, after the first few days, we basically put on our makeup ourselves, but she handled all the setup and cleanup and a bunch of other things - like painting hands and feet and necks with the white for those people (not me) who needed it.

I pretty much always wear full makeup (unless I'm just knocking around the house), but I don't usually wear such a heavy eye. I was experimenting with false eyelashes again today, and apparently doing so makes me want to do the full smoky eye thing.
My standard makeup:
- Revlon ColorStay Under Eye Concealer in Fair
- Revlon ColorStay Mineral Mousse in 040
- Almay Nearly Naked Loose Powder in Light
- Sephora Long-lasting blush in Romantic Rose
- Clinique Quickliner for Lips in Lipblush
- Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey, wiped mostly off in order to have a lighter lip with the heavy eye
- Estee Lauder brow pencil in Light Brown (always, always, always, because my eyebrows are otherwise nearly invisible)
For the heavy eye:
(all shadow from Urban Decay Naked Palette)
Virgin on the brow bone
Buck on the lid and a bit above
Hustle in the crease
Darkhorse on the lashline, both above and below (on top of Revlon Grow Luscious eyeliner - in Black on top lid and in Espresso on lower)
Creep on the outer upper lashline, extending beyond and blending with Hustle
Half Baked lightly dotted on the very center of the lid
Sidecar on the inside corner, upper and lower
-- That's right - that's SEVEN shadows on my eyes--
Revlon Grow Luscious eyeliner in Black on the lower waterline
Ardell false eyelashes on upper lids (I think this is Demi 101, I also have 107 so I'm not sure which is which)
Then I added a little Darkhorse to my brows to darken them just slightly, since my normal brown pencil is a bit light for this look
Then I curled the lashes (both my regular and the false, together) and applied my usual mascara - Avon Wash-off Waterproof in Black
And then I went to Target like this, as one does.
