“I used to be a wildland firefighter. We’d go to the large fires and work 16hr shifts. I was running a chainsaw and I slipped and I went ass over teakettle. I broke three of the transverse processes off on my back. My lumbar spine bulged all the discs. I worked the rest of the day but by the end of the day, my back was all messed up. At the end of the day I asked my buddy to pop my back, so he did the whole hug thing and picked me up. When he put me back down my legs didn’t work anymore."

“High point was launching my line, it’s called Baby Slice. Low point having my ex-boyfriend lie to me about having terminal cancer so he could get a few more months out of the relationship.”
“My dream is owning a bed and brunch spot. Gardens in the front, gardens in the back. Places for people to read. I would serve them the most fabulous brunches in the world. I would be so into making them feel like this is the next best place to home and the meals are over the top. They’ll keep coming back and I’ll be set for life doing what I love!”

“I’ve been traveling the world the last 6 months. It’s a crazy story actually…I was in Brazil living there for 2 years and took a trip to South Africa and met two very important people in the world, one Nelson Mandela and two President Obama, and after that I had to ask myself ‘What does this mean?’ because I believe in messages, life is not just random. So those were pretty intense hints. I told myself I would take it easy and let life show me the way."

“For me...Envision is a gateway to further growth and transformation along my journey as an artist and human. The family I've found in the build community has provided a consistent container of support for experimentation and learning. Between us there's the trust and guidance needed for expansion into new depths of creation. It's literally a place I go to bring new visions into reality. Every year has had its own story and flavor.
The big step this year was in creating a temple. It was my first time creating an enclosed physical space built to contain and inspire sacred connection. Over the past several years my work has been moving steadily towards creating this kind of space. The seed-form for this specific temple came to me through dreams and visions during and immediately after Envision last year. The building of Templo de la Tierra was the birth of an idea that had been gestating for months...for years. It’s been a great honor to create and offer this kind of space to the community, built through the collaboration of some of my dearest friends.”

“I had a moment on Sunday when we went to this party and I wasn’t really into it, and he got triggered by me not being into it, and we just got into this big thing and I could feel it starting to brew. It was like ‘Fuck! This is the moment of the end of the bliss…not forever…but I could feel that that happy ease that I was clinging onto was slipping away from my fingers. Then I had a huge emotional break, like almost PTSD response to our conversation, and he was really supportive, but also kinda pulled away after…and then I felt anxious…so we’re like doing this anxious avoidant dance. Anyways, we never really quite…we still haven’t recovered and now it’s Tuesday and it’s like ‘Fuck!’ I just want it to be good again but I know we have to go through this…and we both have to learn what we did that wasn’t in our highest consciousness. It’s kind of exhausting but I do know that it will be…this is just a moment. Things happen…really good, amazing things pop out of nowhere and you get the grace of God and then suddenly shit just turns south. You wonder in the moment ‘What did I do to deserve this’ or ‘Why me? Why can’t I have a normal happy relationship like everyone else?’ which is totally not true. And then inevitably what goes up must come down, and what goes down must go back up. So you just have to sit with the shit and try an take care of yourself. Blah blah blah. That’s it.”
