Did a smoky eye on Vera with purple and peach tones. Up close of the eye - purple on lid and outer corners, brown tones on whole lid, peach above it, white below the brow, and lined with black eyeshadow (wetted flat brush)
And here we see the results of my friend Michael Rowe's advice: Fresh haircut, a bit of product, plus makeup and lipstick for the first time in years. Sort of the fat Tina Fay look.
Plain white walls were okay for a while but the back bedroom was quite boring. Two rolls of wallpaper later and the change is complete.
Note: not attached yet. Making keys by hand turns out to be very time consuming, but it's kind of neat to assemble them together once I'm done. Also, looking at this photo, I realize I lost the alt key. Time to make a new one!

Revisiting a neighborhood project I first documented a few weeks ago. (See pic in the comment box below.) This is in one of our historic preservation districts. Plans for the makeover would've had to be approved by a city board. So, I presume this does qualify as "preservation," even though not a whole lot of the house is being preserved. But then, government bodies always move in more or less mysterious ways. As is almost always the case with undertakings like this, one thing is clear about how the outcome will look. It's going to be BIG.
