Sharon & I took the boys today to the National Forest Maize Maze in Tatenhill near Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire.
This slide photograph was taken of my uncle Graeme Neal when he was 18months old. It was taken to show how high the maize had grown that year. My grandfather Tiny Neal reckons it was 15 feet tall. He kept losing cows in the maize because it was so tall. My grandfather mainly grows potatoes now. My uncle is still a farmer like my dad. The farmhouse is the same, except it has been clad and there is a fence around it now.
