Beautiful Mulshi dam near Pune in the state of Maharashtra,India.We had stopped to have tea in a roadside eatery and discovered this beautiful location.Thankfully there were very few customers.The sun had just set and the atmosphere of peace and tranquilty was somehow accentuated by the soothing tinkle of the cowbells.We sat here for a long time enjoying our tea and the magical mood.
This is the view just before the final climb to Torna.......thats Chetan (Shaitan) coming up the trail.....behind him the route can be seen.

Mulshi dam near Pune.The waters of the dam have receded now that there are no rains but I think this shot was worth getting my shoes a little muddy.

typical roads in Matheran......they are a treat to a person who loves to walk.....one'll surely fall in love with tihs red roads.
This was taken on our way back, our bus had a puncture and we had to wait for some time......but everything happens for good......there was a beautiful setting where our bus had stopped.....this is the last of the Mahabaleshwar trip series.

Rickshaw's in Matheran are a big help for those who do not want to walk......but this ricks are very bad for the backs.
someone should put some kind of Shock Absorber in them.
This was taken as one nears the rock patch on our way back.

this was taken at Karla Caves.......those caves are amazing....the view in the rainy season is amazing....when we were there it was raining nicely......enjoyed it.

Tamhini Ghat near Pune in the state of Maharashtra ,India.Ghat here means a mountain range/ mountain pass.
Life has become a little settled so I was happy to be able to look in.:-)

As one leaves Rajgad, one has to negotiate this patch. In summer time it is totally exposed, it gets a bit more funny to get down.
We decided to break our trek to Torna into two parts, 1st part to halt midway of the route and cover the other half the next day.

Sanjay helps out with sowing paddy seeds somewhere on the road from Goa to the city of Kolhapur in the state of Maharashtra, India.We had stopped so that I could take a few shots and he decided to try his hand at it.:-).He received many directions and a lot of encouragement and a great time was had by all.:-)In fact these friendly people were even good enough to send me photos (on WhatsApp) when the seeds sprouted and these fields became carpets of green.It was such a pleasant surprize.:-)
