Beautiful Mulshi dam near Pune in the state of Maharashtra,India.We had stopped to have tea in a roadside eatery and discovered this beautiful location.Thankfully there were very few customers.The sun had just set and the atmosphere of peace and tranquilty was somehow accentuated by the soothing tinkle of the cowbells.We sat here for a long time enjoying our tea and the magical mood.
typical roads in Matheran......they are a treat to a person who loves to walk.....one'll surely fall in love with tihs red roads.
when one looks down....the Panorama Point......this is what one sees.....
if u look closely one can see the little train taking a "U" turn.......also one can see Vikat Gad here.
Sachin was trying to fly............this was his first attempt.......more to follow....cheering him are Manish and Chetan aka Shaitan.....

Tamhini Ghat near Pune in the state of Maharashtra ,India.Ghat here means a mountain range/ mountain pass.
Life has become a little settled so I was happy to be able to look in.:-)
Manoranjan fort as can be seen while climbing Shreevardhan fort.....the fortification is still intact....also one can see the temple at the base of the fort.

I took this shot somewhere on the road from Goa to the city of Kolhapur in the state of Maharashtra , India. I guess these ladies would have been on their way to or going back home from some family/religious function.

Sanjay helps out with sowing paddy seeds somewhere on the road from Goa to the city of Kolhapur in the state of Maharashtra, India.We had stopped so that I could take a few shots and he decided to try his hand at it.:-).He received many directions and a lot of encouragement and a great time was had by all.:-)In fact these friendly people were even good enough to send me photos (on WhatsApp) when the seeds sprouted and these fields became carpets of green.It was such a pleasant surprize.:-)
Temples and ghats on the River Krishna near the town of Wai in Satara district of the state of Maharashtra,India
I was hauled up for trying to do photography with my camera by the local security person but was allowed to click photos with my mobile instead.Incredible India.:-)
A lot of movies,both Hindi and Marathi,have been shot in this picturesque location.
Table land is a plateau at a great height. The view from here is simply amazing.
