Sixth picture of my series Reflections, all taken in the Albufera of Valencia.

(This time looking for the small birds, abstract lines and reflections of the nets and clouds over the water)

Albufera means, according to its Arab origin, small sea.

In some poems it was called the Mirror of the Sun.

On the technical side, say that I only used a neutral gradient three steps filter.

I hope you like it. Have a nice Monday. :)

Fourth picture of the series Canes & Mud.

(This is the same day that the first photography of the serie, but just a few minutes after sunrise. Soon I will post new photos of both session.)

Magical sunrise in this beautiful place that is the Albufera of Valencia.

The image title is because during the photoshoot, surrounded by all this beauty, calm water, boat, reeds, mud, tranquility, flying birds ... every moment reminded me a lot to the great novel "Cañas y Barro" of the great Valencian writer Vicente Blasco Ibáñez, set in rural Valencia (Albufera) of the early twentieth century, the novel observes and portrays the social reality of the time and place with absolute precision.

Would like to thank this picture to my friend Javier Girbés, which helped me a lot with the location and encouraged me to know this magnificent spot.

On the technical side, say that I only used a neutral gradient three steps filter.

The Illuminative Magic of Mesa Arch <---------Read Post

On top of a mesa in Canyonlands National Park is home to the near daily optical phenomena that has been delighting nature lovers I would imagine since the Anasazi settled the place thousands of years ago, the illuminative magic of Mesa Arch. This sumptuous visual treat has been attracting photographers like a magnet for years packing portfolios with one of the biggest treats the Southwest has to offer.

The Flickr Lounge: Photographer’s Choice

I just returned from a three week visit to France. As you can imagine, we saw a lot of beautiful churches and their gorgeous stained glass windows. The absolute apex were the windows at Saint Chapelle in Paris. This shot is from the ** in Lyon. From the moment that I walked through the doors, I was drawn to the amazing light on these pillars. It was truly magical. I can just imagine how the parishioners must have felt in the early days of Christendom to see such magic.

Magic sunrise in my hometown Valencia.

I do not usually make architectural photography, but a friend recommended me to try this beautiful place that is the City of Science.

This frame seemed very curious and can only be performed during sunrise, when it reflects and reveals this aspect of starship.

Picture one raw only, using four step ND filter and Black Card.

Seventh picture of my series My Dreamed Sunset. (This time an horizontal panorama view of the nets, just a minutes after the powerful sunset.)

I leave you today with this photograph of the last October, the most intense sunset in the Albufera of Valencia Natural Park than i have contemplated in all my life. A dream come true.

They were about ten minutes in which the red flooded everything, creating an incredible atmosphere, with red, orange, yellow, pink and blue colors. Just incredible. What do you think about it???

On the technical side, say that I only used a Formatt Hitech ND graduated three steps filter combined withh black card technique.

Was walking around in the highlands of Teneriffe - a true photographers heaven. After a very fine sunrise walked by this natural window and of course I to take the shot. Back in the studio, I am quite satisfied with the result. I really like the dark shadows on the foreground bushes and stones and the morning light on Pico del Teide.

You may have noticed that I've taken yet another *short* break from Flickr. I was getting too busy to keep up with things on here, and my inspiration was running low.

Regardless, after almost a week, I'm ready to get back into it. You'll probably be mainly seeing photos from my trip to Seattle last week... until past Wednesday or so, when I get to NYC. :)

Also, I'll get to my contact's photostreams asap.

Sixth picture of my series Origin.

(This time focusing foreground in this trunk that was close to the shore, returning to the sea)

Who among us has not ever asked yourself: What are we? Where we come from? and where do we go?

A very simple and purely material response might be:

We are sea water sea we come and we will return to the sea. And it always reminds me of the connections that our internal environment with the sea.

Connections that obey biological facts of universal and eternal proportions that are unquestionable.

Picture taken just a minutes after the sunset in La Garrofera Beach from Valencia, this wonderful natural and wild beach belongs to the Albufera Natural Park.

On the technical side, say that I only used a neutral gradient three steps filter.

I hope you like it. Have a nice Tuesday. :)

This photo will end my series on Lofoten, a country that offers passionate photographers many incredible landscapes. This photo is taken in Hamnøy, near the village Reine; it is the most popular part of the archipelago, and there are some good reasons for that!
