There is much to be said for contentment and painlessness, for these bearable and submissive days, on which neither pain nor pleasure is audible, but pass by whispering and on tip-toe. South Tyrol offers tons of photo opportunities, in every season. This photo, which I call Twilight, was taken at Lake Reschen in Vinschgau when the first rays of sunlight broke through the fog in the trees on a winter morning.
Südtirol bietet Unmengen an Fotomotiven, und das zu jeder Jahreszeit. Dieses Foto, das ich Twilight - Zwielicht nenne, ist am Reschensee im Vinschgau entstanden, als an einem Wintermorgen die ersten Sonnenstrahlen durch den Nebel sich in den Bäumen gebrochen haben.

LOCATION: Near Viroqua, Wisconsin ...gateway to America's unglaciated, Driftless Region ...a small portion of Earth that has miraculously watched virtually unperturbed as each ice age came and went. Viroqua, forever unglaciated it seems.
One of my favourite local places to visit is the sea wall at Ocean Reef Marina. I sit on the rocks and just watch and listen. There is something very therapeutic about watching and listening to the sea. A bit like watching a fire burn. In these series of images I've taken a slightly longer exposure to capture the flow of the sea. I find the resulting images, at various zoom levels, very soothing
