Looking down at Magens Bay, location of the biggest and (according to many) the most beautiful beach on St. Thomas.
A nice model to fold. The elements/modules are not difficult, but the assembling might cause problems.
The big Kusudama is the ‘Torch Ginger' made of 30 pieces of double colored kamipaper. The smaller one is the 12 pieces version, I did a color change here.
And in the front you see just one element/module.
Final size:

During the assembling proces of this origami modular "Ginger Torch" you can also see nice patterns inside (top photo left) and just before the closing (photo below left).

This Kusudama is folded from 30 pieces (7,5x7,5cm) of double colored kami paper. Final diameter: about 14cm
A 12-piece version is also possible. I folded that too and you can see that Kusudama here, together with the 30 pieces version and just one module/element.

A panoramic capture of Magens Bay Beach. I walked out into the water up to my thighs, and took 9 photos that were later stitched together in Photoshop Elements. Not entirely pleased with the way the water turned out - I'm guessing that the movement of the water made the stitching more complicalted, leading to the lines that can be seen in the water. Either way, since i can't go back and try this again any time soon, I'm posting it as is. Sure was a beautiful beach!

A fine view of Magen's Bay, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, is obtained from Drake's Seat. English privateer Sir Frances Drake is said to have used this spot as a lookout for Spanish treasure ships.
At Magens Bay St.Thomas these birds would fly by and suddenly dive into the water looking like kamikaze bombers!! Turns out there were a bunch of little fish they were bombing to get to!! www.facebook.com/ChadSparkesPhotography/

This is a photo from a trip to the US Virgin Islands. It was a blue sky kind of a day. The water is so clean and clear that you can see the sand in the shallow area. It was the kind of day that I wanted to capture in a bottle and take with me.
Gershon Levin House (60 Allenby Street) is located on Magen David Square in the heart of Tel Aviv city centre. It was designed by architect Yosef Tishler in the eclectic style and built in 1924. Gershon Levin and his family lived in the most spacious apartment in the building.

Magens Bay was previously owned by Arthur Fairchild, who gave most of it as a gift to the Municipality of St. Thomas and St. John in 1943 for use as a public park. Located on the North (Atlantic) side of the island, Magens Bay features a well-protected white sand beach stretching for nearly a mile. It is one of the most popular tourist beach destinations on the island.
Lounge chairs are for rent on Magens Bay Beach, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, and not included in the US$5 admission fee to the beach itself.
On the other hand ,why wood I cling to a shaky twig in this storm when I can stand on a nice and save balcony - and who would blame me for testing these little sunflowerhearts - it's my responsibility that those little Blue Tits and Greenfinches won't get a sore belly ... never the less I'm off at the first movement of the curtains ... wild and free Woodpigeon that I am. . .
Andererseits, warum sollte ich mich bei so einem Sturm an einen wackligen Zweig klammern, wenn ich ach auf diesem schönen, sicheren Balkon stehen kann.
- Und wieso sollte ich nicht ein paar dieser Sonnenblumenkerne probieren, schon allein, damit sich die kleinen Blaumeisen und Grünfinken nicht den Magen verderben.... nichts desto trotz bin ich als wilde und unabhängige Ringeltaube sofort weg, wenn sich einer dieser aufdringlichen Bürger anschleicht. . .
One of my Creation for Charities commissions was for a 'M-Tron Build', the winning bidder gave me carte blanche to build anything that I thought would look good on a layout.
I wanted this build to be somewhat different than a lot of othe usual M-Tron stuff build, and playing around with the few M-Tron pieces I had left after building my STG I came up with felt like a big truck hood... rolling with that idea I made the above, the Magen-Rig zero-wheeler.
