Looking down at Magens Bay, location of the biggest and (according to many) the most beautiful beach on St. Thomas.
A nice model to fold. The elements/modules are not difficult, but the assembling might cause problems.
The big Kusudama is the ‘Torch Ginger' made of 30 pieces of double colored kamipaper. The smaller one is the 12 pieces version, I did a color change here.
And in the front you see just one element/module.
Final size:
Diameter Torch Ginger Kusudama 30 pieces: about 14cm
Diameter Torch Ginger Kusudama 12 pieces: about 9cm
I also uploaded a photo with a few looks inside this kusudama, during the assembling, if you're interested, just click here.

There is a tutorial by Judith Magen.
A panoramic capture of Magens Bay Beach. I walked out into the water up to my thighs, and took 9 photos that were later stitched together in Photoshop Elements. Not entirely pleased with the way the water turned out - I'm guessing that the movement of the water made the stitching more complicalted, leading to the lines that can be seen in the water. Either way, since i can't go back and try this again any time soon, I'm posting it as is. Sure was a beautiful beach!

The colors of this necklace reminds me of the soothing waters of Magen's Bay in St. Thomas, Virgins Island.
My husband and I vacationed there when I was pregnant with our first daughter! AHHH the life we had there! It was so relaxing and serene that that calmness still carries with me (especially since my life is chaotic with 3 crazy girls!)
This is a new variation ot my Eliza necklace. This one has Neon blue apatite rondelles, Peruvian Chalcedony, and Mystic Blue Quartz. I especially love the assymetrical vermeil charm on the side.
Created for the Digitalmania challenge where this week we are taking inspiration from the work of Carme Magen.

This is a photo from a trip to the US Virgin Islands. It was a blue sky kind of a day. The water is so clean and clear that you can see the sand in the shallow area. It was the kind of day that I wanted to capture in a bottle and take with me.
When a knife-wielding terrorist attacked innocent Israelis at a Haifa transit station, bystanders knew exactly who to call for emergency medical help: Magen David Adom.
Just moments later, teams of MDA vehicles and medics arrived on the scene. "We encountered a very serious incident," reflected MDA paramedic Ahmad Tuafshi. "Several patients were lying on the ground, some unconscious with penetrating wounds. We provided initial lifesaving treatment...then began evacuating the injured to the hospital."
Though, unfortunately, one victim succumbed to his wounds, Magen David Adom saved four lives that day: a man and woman in their 30's, a woman in her 70's, and a 15-year-old boy.

Gershon Levin House (60 Allenby Street) is located on Magen David Square in the heart of Tel Aviv city centre. It was designed by architect Yosef Tishler in the eclectic style and built in 1924. Gershon Levin and his family lived in the most spacious apartment in the building.
Magens Bay was previously owned by Arthur Fairchild, who gave most of it as a gift to the Municipality of St. Thomas and St. John in 1943 for use as a public park. Located on the North (Atlantic) side of the island, Magens Bay features a well-protected white sand beach stretching for nearly a mile. It is one of the most popular tourist beach destinations on the island.
