Hit the "L" key for LARGE! :)

Day 23

Today's picture might look a little complex, I will explain. There is a popular strip mall in Madison, AL called Bridge Street. On my way to church tonight I decided to stop by it because I wanted to capture some of its night atmosphere and this is what I got.

An airplane is making the base-leg turn for approach in to Huntsville International Airport during a lightning storm. This is a blended image of 5 (or six...I lost count) images, each image is a 10 second exposure that was triggered by my lighting trigger. The sky is so light because of extensive cloud-to-cloud lightning.

I used Topaz Clarity to bring some detail into the grassy area.

The Trail of Tears passed by the U.S. Congress for Indian Removal to Oklahoma was one of the Darkest Chapters in American History. My part Cherokee and Choctaw blood is still P_ssed off about this. Over 20 million acres stolen by the same United States I served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Hold the phone- its not the same United States. When will the U.S. Congress right this past WRONG.---Never.

Rainbow Mountain Trail, Madison AL, 2019-05-16

The 6-mile loop from our house runs by this sign. There are no trails, no park, nor evidence that there ever was a park here. I guess the city put up the sign years ago with intentions of building a park....

This Drug Store was a Rexall Store back in the day.

Bob Jones Homecoming ~ 2010

Shot one of the local football games tonight- Bob Jones vs Huntsville High. Thanks to my friend, SepiaBillo, I had an edge on shooting this! The game went into OVERTIME!! Couldn't get on the sideline, so this was taken from about the 50 yard line! Maybe next time I can get OUT there!! Thanks, Bill!!

(My nephew- #32- played in the game for Bob Jones!)

Home to one of our favorites...Bandito Burrito!

In 1871 J.W. Burton ran a drug store from this building. Hughes Hardware closed in the late 1990's.

This old building looks like it could have served as a Hotel at one time.

Sign in window of Humphrey-Hughes Drug Store.
