Last night I finished decorating the Gingerbread House. Not bad for a first time.

Explore #169 - May 10, 2008 - Thank you!

woot! #67 in explore. not bad for a snapshot!

Stevie explores the lilies on the balcony garden. He hasn't been helping pack up the house, but he's pretty small, eight arms or not; we can't fairly expect him to pack much, can we?

Enjoy large! :)

(Stuffie made with Futuregirl's octopus stuffie pattern.)

Printed on my gocco with fabric ink (I did not use the stamp kit because it seems to smudge my prints...not sure why)

A bit of history to go along with these beautiful items

Here is a picture of the house with the tree standing to the front right of photo.

And another set of placemats created on my gocco.

Remmy and Stevie Y. face off.

Ha! Ha!

Actually, Rem was not at all that impressed by Stevie and returned happily to his kittynap. ;)

Stevie will be taking a trip or two with us this summer, so expect to see more of him. Mostly just because I think it will be funny to have pictures of him in the car, at the zoo, etc. Sad, really... ;)

I whipped this stuffie up during Red Wings playoff games using Futuregirl's Octopus stuffie pattern. Not exactly the best stuffie on the planet, but he's the first one I've made, so I am quite happy with him. Hubby thinks it is hilarious. He also loves these pictures of Remmy 'meeting' Stevie...makes him laugh every time he sees them! :)

It takes an especially loving man who thinks his wife whipping up a red-and-white octopus to help cheer on her favourite team is cute.

Obviously, Stevie Y. is named for my favourite hockey player, Steve Yzerman. :hearts: I may share a birthday with the great Gordie, but I grew up watching Stevie. ;)

SHIPtember 2018 day four progress - Missed a night of building yesterday but started to get some ideas for what this thing can be. Messed around with some bridge configurations, built a stand because I was tired of it falling over, and established the model as microscale.

Hard to photogrpah, really... but it's done now! My old office chair, my old atlas and a jar of glue - now merged into this. It is really lovely and really odd, and I like it a lot.

All that remains now is to give it a finishing coat of varnish - and I can sit on the world :-)

-FINALLY, after shaping for awhile I got a very nice result from this bad paper. However, I love the pose this dragon holds, by far my favorite!

2012 - Microscale Kansas City, MO mashup

Last year I posted a microscale version of one Kansas City Missouri project I delivered. This is another #microscale #legomodel rendition of two noteworthy buildings that were mashed together as one deliverable minifig scale model I designed for @ldcnorthamerica Kansas City, MO which opened in 2012.

Here's a shot of the "E" pillow I made for Erin for Christmas. Although the pillow works up relatively quickly and simply, the pattern is chock full of errors, and the author is not responsive to requests for assistance. Many kudos and warm chocolate chip cookies to Ginny at Crochetville, who altered the pattern, corrected the errors, and helped me tremendously. :) Thanks so much, Ginny!

Alexander Henry fabric, blue ric rac, bloggedblogged here

My little craft project last night turned into her wearing it to school, took a nap in it, ate lunch in it, then dinner. I didn't get her out of it until bathtime. Best darn $4.00 I have ever spent.

Fall colors time! I scanned this in from the scanner, so of course it doesn't look *exactly* right to my perfectionist eyes...The "thank you" is a three-dimensional jelly sticker, and the rest is just ric-rack and paper stuff. This was for my wedding photographer.

Fragoline in fimo (fatte da me!), montate a orecchini, con perline di terracotta (penso...) provenienti dal Perù.

Earrings with strawberries in polymerclay (fimo) and beads from Peru!

Bertus asked me to make a fox for him. So here he is. This is Freek. And you don't pronounce that as "freak" but as "frake".

Well, Mario and his friends need a break sometime ;)

Crochet your own using my free pattern at: amysodyssey.wordpress.com/

Bracelet with sweet charms made of fimo. Donuts, cupcakes, a biscuit and a chocolate bar (the chocolate bar is inspired by Ele).

Entirely made by myself, please respect my work!

What do you get when you cross a door peephole with a thrift store toy camera? I don't know yet but I'll post some pics when I shoot it.

This cross stitch took me about a year to do. No, I didn't work on it everyday but it was quite time consuming. I am happy with the results and that I actually finished it. Notice the beading within the stitching.

This is a picnic quilt I made for a chinese auction at my church. I was sorry to see it go...it looked really nice in my living room. The pattern is Night and Day by Eleanor Burns (Quilt in a Day).

One of my favorite holidays. What's not to like about free candy and glowing pumpkins? I carved this one myself last Friday. It's been sitting outside on my porch since then and I think the dry weather got to it, because now, instead of looking scary, it looks like my pumpkin forgot his dentures! At least I got a picture of him while he still looked scary.

If you look closely, you'll see some brown spots in the right eye where my pumpkin had begun to rot before I even carved it. I like to say he's rotten to the core - literally.

This is a shot of top of my chest of drawers.Things I like : mav's fab calendar, framed tour poster of Sky Larkin and little woven bowl for my jewelery.I made it myself from recycled factory string my mum had.I have few bigger ones as well for cosmetics.

Richiesta di un'amica di mia sorella. Apette in fimo fatte da me e perline bianche in plastica. La boccuccia delle apette fatta così me l'ha suggerita mia sorella, sennò l'avrei lasciate senza bocca! Però così è molto meglio =D

this is the first clothing for ED, or any doll, that i have made. i knitted with baby wool and 2mm needles. i didn't use a pattern but just measured her bust, waist and hips and then tried to decrease and increase at the right places.

here i was figuring out how to finish the dress and what closure to have on it. put her hair in an improvised updo with some wool and a toothpick for checking the size of my knitting and trying it on her.

i started out with too many stitches in the top part, so i ended up with "flaps" that are too long. then decided to use them and put a rainbow moonstone bead on it as a button. i had not knitted a button hole so i had to widen a stitch, but it works. you can see the "problem area" though, the flap which is too long creates bulk under the top part.

then i was racking my brain to figure out a way to tighten the part below the button, until i thought of using yarn. but what colour??

i tried different ones until i found the red one which i liked the most.

i'm quite happy with this as my first dress but want to try again and improve on it.

next i want to make a knitted dress for Pirooz because i think this colour would look great on her too. and i will go buy more baby wool next week!
