Macy's Thanksgiving day Parade, what started out 90+ years ago, to attract customers to his store. A brilliant tactic that continues and attracts many to the store, and mostly became an American Tradition. What mostly beautiful about Thanksgiving all celebrate it.

I sadly learned that the ambulance and group of paramedics in the upper right of this photo were responding to Robert Blasetti, a clown who had a heart attack and collapsed and died beside his wife while making balloon animals for the crowd.

Since 1924 Macy's department store has
presented the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade
Macy's was founded by Rowland Hussey Macy who moved from Massachusetts to New York City in 1858 and established a store named "R. H. Macy & Co." The store's logo is a red star, which comes from a tattoo that Macy got as a teenager when he worked on a Nantucket whaling ship.
