Chives in a pot. When we moved to Italy, 3 years ago, we brought this plant with us. It's still alive and when we don't use a lot of chives, it blooms. And I really like those flowers.
A lovely feature of the macro lens is it allows the user to use a really shallow depth of field and personally find this composition quite pleasing.
Have been trying to take pictures of daisy buds, but there wasn't enough light to get something I liked.
I had Luigi with me and thought he was a perfect match with Daisy.
Of course I had to take a shot of a piece of my jewelry.
Can't remember when I had it around my neck, but I don't want to throw it away. For some reason I like this one very much.
Shot for the "Macro Madness" event on Facebook. Basically someone created an event where the focus for the week is macro type shots.

Water drops on a CD, was attempting to get the light refracting from the CD and showing up through the water drops.
An archive shot with some new postprocessing.... the Inside Macro... My Sigma does better sharpness & details with better light conditions.

A very well behaved butterfly that kindly stayed still for ages whilst i fiddled around with the camera settings which enabled me to get quite close.
I don't know why, but this just makes me think of the Planet Express ship from Futurama…
Still in two minds whether this composition really works. In hindsight i think focusing on the seeds a little to the left may have given a more pleasing photo
Loved trying to capture a spider with a macro lens but couldn't quite get close enough without the use of extension tubes. Still enjoy seeing their eyes
