Walking through Kungsträdgården, stopping for a few macro images. It was me and a couple of other photographers making our way around the flowers and the lunch eaters.
If Stanley Kubrick designed refrigeration systems, I figure this is the kind of vent he would come up with. ;) I took this photo at the local grocery store... put my camera on some onions and hit the timer.... Click!
yesterday, we had a tutorial on the poor man's macro at the house of brews. another group of flickrers joined us and instantly, everyone was turning around their fiddy's to test out this awesome macro method. i didn't have my fiddy with me, so i played around a little bit this evening.

Any idea what this thing is? Seen while camping in the Black Hlils near Custer, SD. It was on a stump and was about the size of a Nilla Wafer™. My best guess is either a deposit of eggs or perhaps a fungus. I went back the next day and it was dark brown and drying out fast. Amphibian eggs? Alien eggs? Nilla eggs?
This spider's got a big, hairy ol' butt... and a big catch! That's a yellowjacket!

We need one girl, yay big, cauc, who won’t cry if prodded and poked, exposed under some lights in front of a film camera.
Oh, and it needs to be a newborn.

I brought out a handheld array of LED lights to help shoot my beetle friend from the summer. Unfortunately, most of the shots were to washed out. But I did like this one with the lights in the background shining through the beetle's hairy carapace.
