Two damselflies in a bokeh paradise :-)

Thank you for supporting my art!

Camera: Canon PowerShot G6 point-and-shoot

Shutter speed: 1/50 (I thought it was higher, but that's what my EXIF data says)

I used a big ceramic bowl of water in a fairly dark room with a lamp to the side. The camera's built-in flash completed the exposure. I used an eye dropper and took several shots to get one that I liked. The colors come from the glaze of ceramic bowl being used.

taken by my smartphone, I saw them too cute, an awesome things in my little garden.

Walking through Kungsträdgården, stopping for a few macro images. It was me and a couple of other photographers making our way around the flowers and the lunch eaters.

I was on a walk and saw this big phone book jammed between a pair of mailboxes. It had obviously been there for some time and was starting to deteriorate. Anyway, the abstract nature of it caught my eye. It turned out to be a pretty cool shot.

Two days ago there was only one tiny crocus out on the lawn. This morning I counted six.

I call this "puzzle grass" because that's what I called it when I was a little kid. I'd take these apart by their segments, mix them up, and then reassemble them. It's a fun game for a four-year-old. :)

You know, the one with Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson? The movie was shot mostly in Park Hyatt Tokyo in Shinjuku. This is the view from the 42 second floor.

Water droplet on the end of a blade of grass, taken with my new Sigma 105mm macro lens. My first "outing" with this lens.

**Added a macro section to my website including this photo and some of my other favourites..check it out!

Happy accidents delight me. I did not expect this shot. It's not a perfect shot, but it's perfectly accidental, which is why I'm thrilled with it. I expected, hey, a drop, some refraction, some macrotastic wetworks -- a good time had by all.

And yet, somehow, I captured the windows of the house just before the drop left the stem and the leaf toppled off the fence post. A transitive moment, a tiny opportunity unexpected.

That is a good day.

Went out to my car and found it covered in these fine crystals - a wonderful thick frost. Macro time! :)
