Elles découpent des morceaux de feuilles pour les ramener au nid en formant de longues processions. Ce sont les plus grands herbivores de la forêt tropicale ; elles peuvent défolier totalement un arbre en une nuit !

Only my third early morning macroshoot this year. But i had the opportunity to meet some nice people this morning and spent some hours on a wonderful meadow near Karlstadt.

Besides some other nice insects we found some Libelloides longocornis. When the sun finally came out, they opened their wings and this one let me shoot some fotos.

Went to a pre-dawn photoshoot trying out filters etc. Still looking at my dismal results of the landscapes. But I did come across this little fairyland I found :)
