The theme was "TWO" - two of something. I chose two blue pens for several reasons.
1) The blue plastic is semi-transparent and brings up lovely colours when in light.
2) The silver tips are shiny, making a nice contrast with the blue.
3) They're small and fit into the Macro Mondays size criteria.
4) They're actually quite photogenic, although they did roll around a bit making it challenging to set the tips together.
Fun though and I like the results. There are 8 photos in this set.

The theme is REDUX - Combining any two of the Macro Mondays themes from 2021. For these I chose FORKS (26 April) IN ICE (15 Feb).

When a theme is set, I’m amazed at what I find, to set up a photo to suit.
The theme is Pink, they said. What did I have that’s pink when I like blue?
The official name for my "pink thing" is Multi Functional Microwave Oven Heating Layered Steaming Tray.
I use it in the microwave when I need a double layer to heat several items at once. On the pink tray are some Fancy Bead Caps, leftover from my jewellery making days. Under the pink tray is a square LED light. I set the camera up close and there's my picture. Voila!

I love taking photos of rain droplets on little moss plants, or other tiny plants. You never know what the camera will reflect and magnify, and I do enjoy opening the pictures in the computer to see what's there. Often the detail has been so tiny, I've been unable to see it with my eyes.

The fast, jumping movement of the Long-legged Fly makes is difficult to catch, by predators and photographers alike. Long-legged Flies are predators of smaller plant insects like mites and aphids. They have shiny, metallic colors that are flashy and bright, with long legs that seem more familiar on mosquitoes. This genus has smoky, dark patches on its wings.
