A mother pearl shell is really a challenge to photograph by an amateur like me, because it shines a lot...

It measures almost 2 inches, and despite of the difficulties with focusing I think that the spiral pattern is quite visible.

I found that inserting a flower that cast a shadow but with small enough leaves to stay inside the illusary 'well' seemed to help create the sense of depth.

Theme: Odd

Size: Less than 3x3 inches

The subjects are magnetised pins dangling from a bigger metal object. The odd one is the smaller pin with a round head.

There were 2 light sources, natural light through the windows at 9 o'clock and a table lamp at 3 o'clock.

The back ground colours are from a red plastic tomato sauce bottle on the right and a yellow plastic bag on the left.
