Those late night thoughts and lead me to connect two of my lenses to get some macro shots of me eye matey!
The beautiful Jenny Brown. I realise her eyes are not green. But her makeup is, and I couldn't think of a different title :-p

I've always loved taking photographs but in the past I've always taken photographs for the sake of taking photographs without really knowing what I was doing. However over the past 4 and a bit months since I started my 365 I'm gaining, or I like to think I am, a photographer's eye.
Now I take photographs with more thought because I'm learning about photography, what I like in a photo and what works and I think I'm getting better shots. They're not all good, but they never can be really.

If you look closely you can see the ocean and my hand holding the camera reflected in my eye. Yes, I was tired!
My crested Gecko Ray. Now fully tamed I'm able to get a few shots of him, still difficult as he's moving around a lot. More photos of him to come.

Eye's are the window to your soul. Or at least a mirror reflecting a camera. I did a search for 'macro eye' and only 78,000 results came back, so I figured I'd add one more.
Occhi scuri
lavati di pece e sole
mi scrutano dentro.
Incoscienti del mondo
e amari di delirio.
Sogno e piango
per l'ebrezza
del dimenticare.
Occhi che mi hanno regalato
la dolcezza della tenerezza,
il mistero dell'insicurezza.
Un sorriso che mi ha brillato dentro
e illuminato di una nuova luce.
Grazie di avermi allontanato la tristezza.
Grazie di avermi salvato.
Non chiederò altro,
solo quel tuo sguardo profondo.
