wash day blues
One of my least fav housework jobs..sorting the washing! Thought I would brighten my wash day blues by experimenting with the macro extension tube adapters and the liquid washing detergent tabs.. turning the mundane into something a bit more exciting...
Taken using 18-55mm kit lens and macro extension tube adapters 1& 2 (9mm, 16mm)
Natural daylight, no extra lighting source used.
Shot for "Our Daily Challenge" on the theme "A pair of" and this weeks theme on "365: The 2013 Edition", Macro.
Shot with a full set of Macro Extension tubes and an EF 100 f2.8 L, lit with a YoungNou YN467.
This Brimstone Moth [feel free to correct me on that, it's closest I could find in my research!] hung around our front doorway for almost 3 days. Normally you'd hush moths away, as they can be annoying, but this one never budged, never pestered, didn't chase or swirl ... just sat there, like a right lazy lump! I took pic's of it over 2 days, natural light, off camera flash ... it didn't seem to care ... I was about to name it on the 4th day when it had decided to bugger off .... miss you ... erm, Leafy ... [my 10yr old's unimaginative name for it]

After an eventful weekend, I didn't have much energy Monday and in lack of inspiration, I decided that it was time to go close - very close - to my scarf.
Playing about with extension tubes to take macro photos on my 85mm f1.2 lens! They did a pretty good job for £20!
Made these festive little guys for a friend's birthday over the weekend.
(Hooray for confetti sprinkles without confectioner's glaze! )

This cutest Lady beetle is my new guest and it is November...crazy! Was very difficult to shoot her because it is absolutely hectic insect and I needed a lot of patience and waiting, until she stopped running for some seconds...anyway somehow I am happy with result.

Photographer Mauricio Archila captured this cute macro photo of a tiny rubber ducky with his Fujifilm XT-2 and a Fotodiox Fujifilm X-mount Macro Extension Tube. The macro extension tube allowed him to focus much closer on the subject than his Meike MK-50mm f/2 lens would normally allow.
