I have been trying to avoid filling an SD card with blossom shots this spring, but on a rare walk recently the sun beaming across this tree in full bloom was too hard to resist...
I have been to this coast many, many times...dotted with tourist swimming piers and little else, a virtually tideless sea that leaves beaches the same day after summer day...leaves me having to find something a little different after the obligatory sunrise shot...a few hits, a lot of misses...but always good to be out with the camera!
If nothing else, this makes a fairly nice windows wallpaper

Thanks for your visit… Any comment you make on my photographs is greatly appreciated and encouraging! But please do not use this image without permission.
a fresh water stream, lit by the morning sun, making its way over a beach makes for a source of many interesting shapes and colours.

I’m not actually a big chess player now, but it was the first board game I learned to play. Board games are something of a passion for me and I play them whenever I can. I love the focus and strategy they require, but most of all, I enjoy the social aspect. My husband and I regularly have friends over under the guise of a dinner party when the real reason is just to play games.
This chess set and board come from the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul, where we drank sweet apple tea and good-naturedly haggled for such a prize for a couple of hours, while intermittently discussing the merits of Pearl Jam and other bands from the Grunge Era that the shop keeper was enamoured with. I started out photographing the white pieces, but found that the darker tones made for a much more dramatic image, particularly when juxtaposed by the turquoise background.
