Edited for Smile on Saturday's #photo collage theme

Never tried making a collage before. A really interesting exercise, trying to collate which images to use and in what positions, with what colours etc etc. fascinating, although possibly more tricky than I'd thought.

The individual images were all in-camera monochrome shots, with colour overlays added in in post processing. Taken with a helios lens during a walk through an early autumnal Winkworth Arboretum (Godalming, Surrey, UK) a few weeks ago. Individually, these images may not quite have made the grade, but they seemed to work as a macro collection.

(The collage was created in affinity, with individual images having fairly minimal processing including being slightly enhanced in CEfex. The background [intended to be a slightly abstract tree, though not fully sure that comes across] was created with a spray brush in affinity and then a Cezanne-based impression effect in Topaz.)

Another super, interesting theme from the group. Happy SoS! Thanks for looking :-)

Two of my husband's guitar pics. Not sure if he actually collects them but he has quite a few.

A box of my granny's yarn. Some original spools made of wood and cardbox, and some selfmade by my granny. Mind you she was a very neat and orderly woman, but then … I came and found the box 😎 … and well … CHAOS hit!

A tiny carved onyx stone donkey on a key chain. It is a trinket in my macro collection. I don't know where and when I received it. Typically they come from South America. Backlit so I could highlight the texture of the stone.

I was walking around my office, hoping to get some insects/reptiles. It was raining heavily and I was hoping that I will to catch some frogs for my macro collection. No frogs, but there's this one grasshopper being still for a while, so I shot it =) I love the water droplet on its antenna. I hope you like it...

made it to explore guys! thank you so much =)

While self-isolating at home due to the pandemic, I decided to continue adding to my backyard macro collection. Here's another new bloom from our growing collection of Asiatic Lilies.

Seen from my archive macro collection taken last year..

I found this oak leaf preparing to hug the little red leaf while I was walking in Mine Falls Park in Nashua, New Hampshire in October.

Reedición de una foto olvidada, como miles de las que duermen en mis discos.....

Took this flower long ago from my macro collection.

Not a unique one but kind of like the white and green colour tone.
