Looking back through the archives from this fall. I have so many shots I still have to look at and edit. I will post periodically during the winter.
This golden skipper is often found basking on vegetation, or making short buzzing flights among tall grass stems. Despite its name, 4 skipper species found in the British Isles are the same size or smaller than the Small Skipper.
Have been working in a butterfly garden for the last three weeks, and all kind of critters are been showing up for their free feeding.

saw when I was walking my other dog Roxy (not very photogenic because she is hyper..). Right after I took this picture, Roxy sniffed the weed and walked through it..
Had a nice red admiral butterfly visitor in the garden yesterday. Relaxing on a variagated holly leaf
What I assume are cabbage white butterfly eggs on a salad rocket leaf (growing in the garden). Focus stacked using zerene stacker
