You simply must look at this in "Large", or ever better "Original" to see the detail in the centre.

 

Taken at Dewstow Gardens & Grotto, Caldicot, Monmouthshire with my Olympus 35mm f3.5 Macro lens, which is proving to be a revelation. Manually focused using the live view's ability to zoom in 10x to get really sharp.

 

Note that this is not cropped or Photoshopped.

This male was photographed along the Sacramento River Trail below Keswick Dam, Shasta Co., CA May 20, 2017. I only saw one so this is the first of the season.

After so many months i cleaned up my Macro lens and nearly 4hrs Marathon Macro photo shoot i did it today. my next few uploads you can see the BIG world!!
