A small cold hoverfly, spotted this hoverfly on my Euphorbia blossoms looking a bit miserable. Persuaded it to walk on to my finger to warm up a bit

This was one of those "Oh my god, this is going to be a great shot!" moments.
Turns out it was a really great shot! The colour really impressed me more than anything else. Plus I didn't do anything to this shot other than a crop and a bit of sharpening.
The fly is literally 2mm across. Thank the stars for reverse macro rings.
Plus I wish I had entered this in the final of F64 as it's much better than my entry!!
Like a space high-tech jet, this green fly shows off its brilliant colours. A great reflection with seemless metallic elegance.
Thought I would have another go at the 'Happy Days' photo, this time using CombineZP

A rather small cold male red mason bee. Turned out to be carrying some mites. Focus stacked using zerene.
