The 2011 Glen Waverley Chinese New Year and Lantern Festival held in the bustling Kingsway precinct has over 30,000 visitors and boasts a truly unique artistic program and a wonderful array of Asian food.
The Chinese Consulate has organised for the Wuhan Iron & Steel Co. (WISCO) Art Troupe, also known as 湖北省青年艺术剧团 Hubei Provincial Youth Art Troupe, China, to be flown out from China to perform at this year's Chinese New Year and Lantern Festival.
Hubei Provincial Youth Art Troupe has performed on a number of significant occassions around the world including in Hong Kong for 'Hubei Week' and the Mondial International Art Festival, Canada.
The Troupe has won many awards over the years and their performance during the Festival should not be missed!

Traditional Guilin Rice Noodles with slices of five-spiced beef, stewed pork stomach, topped with roasted peanuts and coriander, moistened with a light broth. There was also a pot of the famous 桂林辣椒 Guilin chilli oil to spice up the dish.

There are some nice close-ups of this piece on the show's website: http://www.macd2007.com/author.asp?ID_Cont=83. I didn't photograph a blurb so from memory here's what's happening. Chuya took a poem (by Rimbaud, I think), and ran it through Google's translator into a number of different languages. Then for each translation he ran each word through Google's localized image search page. The resulting images were printed out as tiny thumbnails and plotted radially on pins. (I couldn't work out what the axies were).

Fatty lamb skewers laced with cumin and chilli with a nice smokiness from the coals, but lacking oomph, perhaps it needs more onion juice?

Four of us started shooting at 8pm and after various locations and set-ups we finished it off with a 5am fry-up.
A long but rewarding night that forced me to dig deep at times to find a spark of creativity in situations and scenarios that were out of my usual scope of photography. Thanks to all involved for a top night out.

example of a nice trade that i found while researching. futures like these have so much leverage it makes it more possible to trade really small time frames and still make good money. this would have made over $200 in about 32 minutes. normally i would zoom in more to time my entry in a STF but i was trading on a 1 min chart already i guess i dont have that luxury.
