This is a Macadamia nut, chocolate chip, coconut cheesecake. Original recipe IMAGE by Tobyotter
Thanks Tony for the recipe. You have started me cooking again and I love to cook. Of course, since I am also a diabetic, I give it away. (Well, most of it any way.)
While we toured a macademia nut factory the company cat became bored and decided to take a break from its tough work load.
Pistachio, mint and vanilla gelato covered in fresh whipped cream, drizzled with chocolate sauce, topped with diced hazelnuts and whole macademia nuts, finished with a wafer slice.
Gelato is Italian ice cream made from milk, sugar and other flavours.. The ingredients are frozen while stirring to break up ice crystals as they form. Like high end ice cream, gelato generally has less than 35% air - resulting in a dense and extremely flavourful product.
God Almighty says in the Quran, "O you who believe, fasting has been prescribed for you so that you may learn self control" -Self-control is centered on the ability of a person to exert their will over the inhibitions of their body or self.
In the 1960s, Walter Mischel tested four year old children for self control in "The Marshmallow Test": the children were each given a marshmallow and told that they can eat it anytime they want, but if they waited 15 minutes, they would receive another marshmallow. Follow up studies showed that the results correlated well with these children's success levels in later life.
So it seems, that God Almighty wishes us to be successful by helping us develop our self control :)
The potatoes innovative? Nah, pretty ordinary, marinated in olive oil, lime juice, salt, pepper, oregano, & maggi. Roasted covered for ±15 mins, ±25mins uncovered in an 180°C (360°F) oven.
The whiting filets innovative? Yes!
I've never done this before:
• defrosted whiting filets rubbed with 'Fish Seasoning' from GFresh (I suppose one could use a mixture of spices & seasonings of one's liking, but I find the GFresh quite nice)
• rolled in plain flour, then dipped in a seasoned egg (again, fish seasoning, but any salt, pepper, spice would do), and then rolled gently in panko breadcrumbs, and popped into a nice hot skillet with butter and a bit of oil (I used macademia) until a bit brown and crispy on both sides.
I couldn't stand to waste the egg mixture, so I added that to the skillet and made a bit of scrambled eggs out of it at the end.
Delicious lot! :-)
After living in Taipei for more than fourteen months, I’ve finally tried enough restaurants here to start pointing out my favorites. My thanks go out to my co-workers for reminding me that I should start recommending what I really like, and to Bob Liu for his suggestions on how to go about it. I intend to follow his example with compilations like this one.
The mosaic above and the list below I did not assemble in order of preference, by the way. Everything you see here I consider very delicious, so balancing the composition mattered more to me than making up a hierarchy for eighteen desserts from a dozen restaurants. Really I just want to eat all of them again soon.

Visit my website Paris Pastry:
Firstly, use a freshly toasted Apple Turnover as the foundation to build this dessert that is illegal in most states due to sweetness overdose.
Secondly, carefully lay 2 scoops of Ben & Jerry's Rocky Road-ish (Limited Batch) Ice Cream on top of the pastry. Rocky Road-ish is a toasted marshmallow ice cream, with a toasted marshmallow swirl and fudge covered almonds.
Last but not least, artistically break apart a Pepperidge Farm's Sausalito Milk Chocolate Macademia Chocolate Chunk Crispy Cookie and sprinkle the cookie crumbs all over the nicely stacked ice cream dessert pasty.
Finally, sit down, put on your favorite romantic music, light up some candles, dim the lights, (have a copy of "50 Shades of Grey" handy if you're a lady) and enjoy this delicious creation. As usual, go to church the coming Sunday and confess your sin.

NO ONE.. i mean NO ONE can EVER beat this sauce.. at first glance. you'd think.. wow. that looks really sweet, rich and buttery.. but once you taste a lick of this. you can not stop.. it is REALLY one of a kind.. not too sweet, and not buttery at all.. it's almost like a vanilla creme sauce.. but BETTER... oh.. how i love thee...

This was taken in Tehran in a chain store were they sell all kinds of nuts and dried fruits. There was a wide range to choose from and we stocked happily to munch later in Bangkok. : ) Available the was all kind of dried fruits, raisins of different types, pistachios , almonds, macademia, cashews , dried figs ( my fav .) ,mullberry, pecan and lots more. What a pity theres no more in my fridge, so the picture is whats left.
The Mauna Loa Macademia Nut Factory...of Mystery (Part 1 of 2)! From L-R: workers removing plastic tops off an entire palette of cans of chocolate-covered macademia nuts; popping the metal pop-tops; removing metal pop-tops off each can; emptying the chocolate-covered macademia nuts into plastic bag-lined cardboard boxes; and finally discarding the empty cans into blue trash-cans. Why are these filled and sealed cans being opened and emptied? Where could these delicious chocolate-covered macademia nuts possibly go next in this "unmanufacturing" process? (See next video.)

Loin of wild boar, lightly smoked, then sauteed. Break up (with a fork) some boiled potatoes, then carefully mix with stirfried chinese cabbage & brunoise of apple, thym, roasted macademia and a pinch of currypowder.
The mash with cabbaga and apple was a little bit too sweet for me. I wouldn't want to eat this again.

My Christmas is sure pretty sweet. I got lots of goodies and my favorite chocolates. I got some Danish butter cookies, German shortbreads , German chocolate cookies, Italian truffles , chocolate macademia from Hawaii and Whitman's chocolate sampler. It seems that it's gonna be a yummy year !!!;-D!!!
At most stations in Tokyo you can find a well stocked kiosk that sells
newspapers, drinks and snacks.
There is a large selection of snacks as you can see here. Almost like
a mini convenience store.
With so many snacks you probably get the impression that Japanese are
becoming less healthy in their diet. That may be true, but many of the
snacks advertise the vitamin and other supplements that are contained
in them. Some are made out of soy rather than wheat and many are
pitched as diet bars. Looks like they are at least trying to snack
right.
I always feel the urge to buy something and have a quick munch on the
platform before the train comes. Chocolate covered macademias or
almonds come to mind. (my excuse here is that nuts are protein ^__^)
What is your favorite snack to munch on when waiting for the bus or
train?
